Development of transaxles in automobiles
Kubiš, Vojtěch ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is concerned of development of transaxles in automobiles. Overview of types of axles is mentioned here as well as their working principles. Attention is also given to suspension and damping with description of how it works. In this thesis are described solutions of selected cars suspensions.
Engineering design of the vehicle suspension rocker
Poláček, Vojtěch ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Bradávka, Marek (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with the design and stress analysis of the rocker suspension for an autocross car. The research describes some real cases of using suspension with pushrod and rocker in motorsport. Subsequently, the work deals with the design of the wheel bump/rebound limiting stops and bump/rebound measuring. The challenge is to design a component shape, size and select fit of a rocker with an emphasis on low weight whilst maintaining sufficient strength and rigidity. The design study include stress analysis which leads to optimize the final shape.
Formula Car Rear Wheel Carrier Analysis
Oravec, Peter ; Porteš, Petr (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on Formula Student upright analysis using final element method. The main goal is to review an effect of different boundary conditions on stress and deformation. Nowadays, the topologic optimization is a commonly used tool for design process of the upright, to create the lightest and the most rigid design possible. Boundary conditions, which should approximate reality really well, are one of inputs to topological optimization.
The Axles of SxS Vehicles
Štolpa, Radek ; Hejtmánek, Petr (referee) ; Blaťák, Ondřej (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals primarily with the topic of the kinematics of the wheel suspension that has a significant effect on the dynamics of the whole vehicle. The thesis gives a general overview of kinematic characteristics and their impact on driving characteristics. It deals with load transfers that occur due to lateral and longitudinal accelerations. The thesis analyses the axles of the SxS vehicle, which has wheel strokes up to 600 mm. The axles have high requirements for changes in kinematic characteristics. The thesis provides an overview of the used axles and then compares them with the original ones. The thesis contains its design of axles with the procedure and evaluation of differences compared to the other axles specified by the boundary conditions. An algorithm using analytical geometry was also created where instant centre positions, roll centres and anti-characteristics for the static position of the vehicle can be calculated. In conclusion, it contains a sensitivity analysis, which aims to acquaint with the effects of kinematic connections of double wishbone suspensions on the kinematic characteristics.
Design of three-wheel vehicle
Mlynár, Adam ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
The goal of this diploma thesis is to create structural design of reverse trike vehicle. With use of vehicle dynamics simulations in software MSC Adams Car 2019 is examining suitability of double wishbone suspension with different roll centre heights and effect of longitudinal position of Centre of mass on ride properties and limits. Selected concept of reverse trike vehicle is structurally designed using Solidworks 2016 and stress is inspected with FEM software Ansys Workbench 2019.
The front axle of the three-wheel hobby vehicle
Mlynár, Adam ; Brandejs, Jan (referee) ; Mazůrek, Ivan (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with design of front double wishbone suspension adaptable to reverse trike vehicle. The first chapter is devoted to the overview of three-wheel vehicles, the basic geometrical parameters of the axles and the introduction of the modified vehicle. The next chapter contains a suggestion of suitable geometry and kinematics of the axle and is inspected in program Lotus Suspension Analysis. The conclusion is devoted to conceptual design and structural design in program SolidWorks 2016. A suitable stiffness of the suspension is also proposed, and the factor of safety of the arms and the steering knuckle is checked by finite element analysis.
T1 Category Race Car Design
Šťáva, Martin ; Vančura, Jan (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis deal with conceptual design of racing car of T1 category. Car consist of tubular frame, front and rear double wishbone suspension, braking system and conceptual design of the fairing. These are the basic of this thesis. For the completeness of the design, the location of the crew and the placement of the components inside the frame are also proposed. Adams Car 2016, Autodesk Inventor 2016, Ansys Workbench 18.1 were used for designing, testing, simulation and calculations. Designed T1 category race car meets International Automobile Federation (FIA) technical standards and safety regulatons.
Double Wishbone Suspension Kinematics Analysis
Nedoma, David ; Fojtášek, Jan (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of the kinematics of double wishbone suspension. The introduction deals with the description of this type of suspension and the investigated characteristics. In the second chapter, the work deals with the influence of change position of individual kinematic points on investigated characteristics. Based on this results, points that affect the majority of kinematics characteristics the most were selected.
